On Tuesday we went back to the vet for Sparkle's progesterone test.
The result was 8.5 ng/ml. That is great!!
Sparkle and Kid mated on 10 and 11 of June.
We are hoping to expect puppy's early August :-)

Today we went back to the vet for Sparkle's progesterone test to determine the optimal time for breeding.The result was 3,3 ng/ml. When the result is between 5 and 6 the ovulation will take place. When the value is above 10 ng/ml the mating should take place. We are going back to the vet the next test on Tuesday.

On Tuesday we did a smear off Sparkle's uterus to check for bacteria. It has to be on culture for 48 hours to see if there are any harmful bacteria there.
Today I got the result of the smear and everything is "clear" that is great news !!!
A step closer to a successful breeding :-)
We are going back to the vet this week for Sparkle's progesterone test to determine the optimal time for breeding.

Finally it's time, after a long wait, Sparkle is in heat since today. Next week we will test her blood for the first time, and when everything goes according our plan, she will be bred to Kid somewhere around 1,5 weeks from now.
